We always like to leave reviews for hotels and other travel experiences over on TripAdvisor. Vicky was thinking of ways we could add a bit more content to our site when she suggested we write our hotel reviews here instead. So to kick things off here is a review for the fantastic H10 Universitat Hotel from our recent trip to Barcelona.

H10 Universitat, 2018

Ronda de la Universitat, 21, 08007 Barcelona

When we arrived in Barcelona the weather was horrendous. It was throwing it down with rain. After catching the airport bus to the centre of Barcelona we made our way to our hotel. The bus stop wasn’t far from where we were staying, thankfully !

Looking like drowned rats we entered the hotel lobby, the staff had a giggle at our expense. I didn’t blame them, they gave us a warm welcome offered us a towel to dry off, quickly checked us in and gave us a much needed complimentary glass of Cava.

Enjoying our glass of fizz we sat down in the bar area before heading up to our room. So far we were very impressed with what we could see. The restaurant and bar was very stylish and modern we loved the decor. It even smelt very fresh and looked extremely clean. This area was on the ground floor just across from the reception.

Our room was excellent, again very clean and stylish with a huge comfy bed, T.V and mini bar. The wardrobes were big and there was plenty of other drawers and space to put all of our belongings.

Clean, Stylish And Modern

We had a small balcony space to stand out on overlooking the very busy street below. It had two sets of glass doors so when closed you really couldn’t hear a thing so sleeping with all the hustle and bustle outside wasn’t an issue, 10/10 there.

Our bathroom was spotless and had everything we needed. Maid service was available everyday for clean towels and linen.

When booking a city break we normally go bed and breakfast but on this occasion we didn’t. We know Barcelona so well so we chose to go get our breakfast from nearby bars and cafes. However, breakfast did look superb, the same high standard we have had in other H10’s in the city. All the usual continental selection with meat, cheese, fruits and cereals were available.

A Great Hotel, Great Location

There is a roof terrace with a bar which was a well used space and will be perfect to relax on during the hot Summer months but because we visited in November it was closed. All in all our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.

We booked this break with Jet2, click the banner below and book your next adventure.

This is our third H10 hotel stay in Barcelona. We can’t fault their service and standards at all. We’ve already eyed up another H10 for our next visit.

Barcelona City Pass

Also if you are visiting this beautiful city invest in a city pass. The Barcelona Pass is a comprehensive sightseeing package, which allows visitors to experience the best of Barcelona while saving time and money. Available in 2 and 3 consecutive day duration’s, The Barcelona Pass includes free entry to 20+ attractions, monuments and museums, helping you unlock the best of the city.

We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a few days stay in Barcelona. The location is great and within walking distance to some of the cities best attractions and shopping areas. The Metro is only a short walk from here too if you would like to explore further.
